Coos Volunteer Portal Part 1

Welcome to
Bay Area Seniors' Computer Club
Coos Bay, Oregon
BASCC is a non-profit computer club for seniors.  The goal is to keep their members knowledgeable about computers.
The twice-monthly meetings provide speakers – either from the club or outside the club – to talk about one topic or another (usually associated with computing).

Volunteers are more than welcome.  They can give presentations, present classes, and assist in any way.  Our policy is that the club members are people 50 years and above.  Speakers, presenters, instructors, and such can be of any age.

A Basic Workshop is offered at Coos Bay Library.  Visit the BASCC website for more info.

Computers can only be available for 5 or 6 at a time – but efforts will be made to get as many as possible on them.

The library workshop is free.  No registration needed.

No membership required.  No age restriction.

People can come in as long as there is space.

We will change as needed.  Possibility is either a call-in or sign-up pre-registration.

The first session is as much about how to proceed as it is about helping those who need it.

The long range plan is to hold sessions either weekly, twice a month, or once a month.  This depends on the turnout.

Other classes are offered in our “classroom” (my basement). Donate $5 or more to the club and get an hour or more of dedicated one on one computer training.  (Note all proceeds go to the club and not to the instructors.)

The club has classes available for 4 to 5 students on many topics. There is a small charge for these.
